Primary School: IB PYP – An Inquiry-Driven Learning Experience
From the moment they start Primary School, our students are immersed in a learning environment that nurtures both personal growth and academic development, in alignment with the enhanced IB PYP framework.
We view the child not as a passive learner, but as an active, capable, and engaged participant in the learning journey. Each child brings unique experiences, perspectives, and creative thinking to the classroom, enriching the teacher-student partnership. Learning is built on agency, inquiry, and collaboration, fostering curiosity, independence, and critical thinking in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
The day begins with a welcoming morning meeting, setting the tone for the day’s learning.
This daily routine provides opportunities for children to share their perspectives, listen to others, and develop social-emotional skills, reinforcing the PYP’s commitment to holistic education.
Throughout the day, students engage in concept-driven, transdisciplinary learning, where inquiry, discussion, and reflection lead to deeper understanding.
The PYP Approaches to Learning (ATLs)—such as thinking, research, communication, self-management, and social skills—are intentionally developed, ensuring students gain the skills needed for lifelong learning
